Better then some other brands I’ve tried. Pieces are large and hold water longer than smaller ones.These water crystals are perfect for keeping your feeder insects hydrated and fed. They absorb the water fast and are ready to use with in 8 hours. They also get pretty big. The shipping was also great, as it arrived a day early. The packaging is very nice and has the directions right on the cover. The packaging is also resealable which is very convenient as I did not use them all at once. The packaging also has a nice warning right on the front to warn you not to eat these yourself or allow you pet to eat them. Overall I am very satisfied with this purchase and when I run out will we definitely being buying from here again. My bearded dragon is loving his super worms now that they are all hydrated and tasting yummy!I thought these would be a great answer for watering the feeder crickets and roaches for my chameleon. They are not. They expand to about the size of a dime at most. They get dirty and gross in the containers pretty quickly. Trying to get them out of the containers they’re slippery and tear. Wouldn’t buy again.Amazing product! When we adopted our beardie we didn't think through having to feed and water his worms. We were buying a sandwich bag of this from our pet store for $5. We bought a bag of these and it only takes a tablespoon in a gallon of water 30 min to fill a good portion of a gallon size bag. Buying pre-hydrated Flukers brand cricket quencher was becoming expensive so we investigated making our own with these crystals. They work perfectly and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a hydration solution for colonies of insects. Just add water. You can add 10 teaspoons of crystals to one of the standard Flukers containers and then fill with water to the top of the label and it will create the correct water to crystal ratio.Don't waste your money on a tiny bottle of cricket quencher. All that stiff is are these crystals just dyed funky colors to make it look more appealing. This 8oz bag will make 8 gallons of water crystals and they are cheaper than the bottle of cricket quencher. This product is great for anyone with feeders looking to save some cash. I personally use this on 2 Dubia Roach colony's and 2 different cricket keepers and they work just as well as the name brand stuff!Standard water crystals. Works well for crickets.Expands a lot.
